What We Believe
Our faith is rooted in historic Christian belief and the teaching of Scripture.
These statements provide a concise foundation for our teaching and ministry. Church leadership can refine or expand them to reflect the church constitution and denominational tradition.
Statement of faith
Foundational beliefs
A concise summary of the Christian beliefs that guide our worship, teaching, and life together.
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and are the trustworthy authority for faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human; that he died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is Lord.
We believe the Holy Spirit gives new life, forms Christlike character, equips believers, and empowers the church for witness and service.
We believe every person bears God’s image, all have sinned, and salvation is God’s gift of grace received through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe the church is the community of all who belong to Jesus, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, mission, and compassionate service.
We believe Jesus Christ will return, God will judge with justice, and those who are in Christ will share eternal life in God’s renewed creation.
